Namitha Kapoor was born in Surat, Gujarat, India on 10th May 1981. She is a Punjabi and was christened Namita M Vankwala. She appeared in her first two Telugu movies with the screen name Bhairavi. She completed college at Ratnam Arts College in Surat.

2006 She appeared in Telugu movies like Lakshmi and Boss, as well as Tamil movies like Vallavan.
2007 Her success was waning until Vishnuvardhan’s Billa released and became a hit. She was also seen in a cameo in Sivaji: The Boss.
2008 In Yaaradi Nee Mohini, she played the lead with Dhanush and in Kuselan she played herself. Aegan, which was a remake of Main Hoon Na saw her as a teacher.
2009 In Prabhu Deva’s Villu she played the protagonist’s love interest. Her next release is a Malayalam movie Bodyguard and a Tamil movie Aadhavan with Surya.

Actor Sivakumar’s son Surya was born on the 23rd July 1975 in Chennai. He was named Saravanan Sivakumar but known famously as just Surya. Karthik Sivakumar is Surya’s younger brother and an award winning actor. He also has a younger sister Brinda married to an industrialist.
Surya pursued his education in Chennai at the St.Bedes School and then at the Loyola College where he studied Commerce along with Joseph Vijay who is a Tamil actor. He worked in the garment industry before moving into movies.
Jyothika, Surya’s wife is also an actress who has worked with him Kaakha Kaakha and Sillunu Oru Kaadhal. They were married in 2006 and had a daughter Diya in 2007.

Surya’s Movies
1997 to 2002 Surya made a good start with his debut Nerrukku Ner in 1997 with Vijay and Simran. He acted in movies like Kaadhale Nimmadhi (1998), Periyanna (1999) and Uyirile Kalanthathu (2000). Friends and Nandha in 2001 both performed extremely well and Surya won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor for Nandha. In 2002 Unnai Ninaithu and Maunam Pesiyadhe were moderate successes.
2003 to 2007 Gautham Menon’s Kaakha Kaakha (2003) in which he starred with Jyothika was a huge hit as were Pithamagan (2003) and Perazhagan (2004). While he won the Filmfare Best Tamil Supporting Actor Award for Pithamagan, he bagged the Filmfare Best Actor Award for Perazhagan. In Mani Rathnam’s Ayitha Ezhuthu (2004) he played a student leader Michael. The movie was made into Yuva in Hindi and this role was played by Ajay Devgan.
He had a blockbuster in 2005 with Ghajini which also starred Asin and he followed this with a successful Aaru opposite Trisha Krishnan the same year. Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006) brought him together onscreen with his wife Jyothika and was an average grosser. He had only one release in 2007 Vel with Asin that became a hit.
2008 to 2009 In 2008, Surya produced, wrote and starred in a five minute documentary called Herova? Zerova? with Jyothika, Vijay and Madhavan. It was to help spread awareness about the importance of education. Gautham Menon’s Vaaranam Aayiram with Simran Bagga also enjoyed success.
In 2009, he has four releases – Ayan with Tamanna, Singam with Shriya Saran, Aadhavan and Mugamoodi.

Genelia D’Souza, also known as Harini to close friends, was born on 5 August 1987 in England to a Mangalore Catholic family. Her parents are Jennifer and Neil. She has an older brother. She grew up in Mumbai.

In 2003, she started her career with three movies – the Hindi movie Tujhe Meri Kasam; the Tamil movie Boys; the Telugu movie Satyam. She worked opposite Ritesh Deshmukh in Tujhe Meri Kasam, which was a remake of Telugu movie, Nuvve Kavali, and saw an average response. Boys, on the other hand, was a hit, as was Satyam.
She built up her popularity in the South with Telugu movies like Samba (2004), Subash Chandra Bose (2005), and Sye (2005). She was recognized for her performance in Bommarillu in 2006 with several awards. The movie was remade successfully in Tamil as Santosh Subramaniam (2008).
The year 2008 saw her trying to pave her way into Bollywood in Priyadarshan’s Mere Baap Pehle Aap and the year’s hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. The movie which was the debut of Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan received a lot of publicity and her role as the unrestrained Meow shined through.
Following this success, Genelia was seen in Sasirekha Parinayam (2009), Life Partner (2009), and Katha (2009).
What’s Next?
Genelia replaced Jiah Khan in Chance Pe Dance (2010) with Shahid Kapoor. She plays a choreographer in this movie. Next in line is Hook Ya Crook, a movie about cricket and criminals. In the Telugu movie, Orange, she will be see with Ram Charan Teja. In Anees Bazmee’s It’s My Life she is cast opposite Harman Baweja. It is a remake of Bommarillu.
